Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms,” “T & C,” “Agreement”) carefully before purchasing furniture from The Furniture Place, whether in our showroom located at 8027 S Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60652, or through our website (“Service”).
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
This page outlines your rights and responsibilities when engaging with The Furniture Place, ensuring a transparent and trustworthy shopping experience. We are committed to providing high-quality furniture and excellent customer service to our valued clients in Chicago and surrounding areas.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Your access to and use of The Furniture Place’s services, including Browse our website, visiting our physical store, or making a purchase, constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our services or make a purchase.
2. Products and Services
2.1 Product Descriptions: The Furniture Place strives to display and describe its furniture products as accurately as possible. However, due to variations in display settings, digital photography, and manufacturing processes, we cannot guarantee that the color, texture, or exact appearance of a product will be precisely as shown on your screen or perceived in person. All product measurements are approximate and may vary slightly. We encourage customers to visit our Chicago showroom to view products in person whenever possible.
2.2 Availability: All furniture products are subject to availability. While we make every effort to ensure our online and in-store inventory is accurate, an item may occasionally be out of stock or unavailable. If an item you ordered is unavailable, we will notify you promptly and offer alternatives or a full refund.
2.3 Pricing: All prices for furniture items are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD). Prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price in effect at the time of your order, subject to any applicable sales tax. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors that may occur due to typographical mistakes or system errors.
3. Order Placement and Acceptance
3.1 Placing an Order: Orders can be placed in person at our showroom in Chicago or through our official website. When placing an order, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete personal and payment information.
3.2 Order Confirmation: Upon successful placement of an online order, you will receive an email confirmation. This email confirms receipt of your order but does not signify our acceptance. Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract occurs when we ship the product(s) to you or confirm their readiness for pick-up. For in-store purchases, your receipt serves as confirmation of your order.
3.3 Order Cancellation by The Furniture Place: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to product availability, errors in the description or price of the product, error in your order, or if fraud or an unauthorized transaction is suspected. If we cancel an order after you have been charged, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Accepted Payment Methods: The Furniture Place accepts various secure payment methods for your convenience. These include major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and approved financing options through our trusted financial partners (e.g., Synchrony Financial, if applicable). All online transactions are processed securely using SSL encryption.
4.2 Payment Processing: For online orders, your payment method will be charged at the time of order placement. For in-store purchases, payment is processed at the point of sale. If utilizing a financing option, specific terms and conditions with the financial provider will apply in addition to these Terms.
4.3 Sales Tax: All applicable sales taxes for purchases made in Illinois will be added to your order total in accordance with local and state laws.
5. Shipping and Delivery
5.1 Delivery Area: The Furniture Place primarily serves the Chicagoland area and surrounding communities. Please consult with our team or refer to our Shipping Policy page for details on specific delivery zones and any associated charges.
5.2 Delivery Process: Our delivery team will contact you to schedule a delivery window. It is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture can be safely delivered to your desired location within your home. This includes clearing pathways, measuring doorways, and ensuring the delivery area is accessible.
5.3 Delivery Fees: Delivery fees, if any, will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase. These fees are non-refundable unless the item is returned due to a defect or error on our part.
5.4 Inspection Upon Delivery: You, or an authorized adult, must be present to inspect all furniture items upon delivery. Please carefully examine the products for any damage, defects, or discrepancies before signing the delivery receipt. Any damage or defects must be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery. Failure to do so may affect your ability to claim damage.
5.5 In-Store Pickup: For customers who choose in-store pickup, you will be notified when your order is ready. Please bring your order confirmation and a valid photo ID. Our team will assist you in loading your furniture, but you are responsible for securing the items for transport.
6. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges: ALL SALES FINAL
The Furniture Place enforces a strict “ALL SALES FINAL” policy. Due to the nature of our furniture products and operational logistics, we do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges on any items purchased, whether in-store or online, except in cases of confirmed manufacturer defects or damage incurred before delivery or pickup, explicitly noted at the time of receipt.
- All sales are final.
- No returns or refunds are allowed on any products.
- No exchanges are permitted once an order has been placed, or at any time after the product has left our premises for delivery or pickup.
- Defective or Damaged Products (Manufacturer Defects or Delivery Damage): If an item arrives with a confirmed manufacturer defect or is damaged prior to or upon delivery/pickup, such damage must be noted on the delivery receipt or reported immediately to our staff before leaving the store. In such documented cases, The Furniture Place will, at its sole discretion, arrange for repair, replacement, or store credit for the affected item. This remains the only exception to our “All Sales Final” policy. Items damaged after delivery, during customer transport, or due to misuse are not eligible for any compensation.
By completing your purchase with The Furniture Place, you acknowledge and agree to this “ALL SALES FINAL” policy.
7. Warranties and Guarantees
7.1 Manufacturer Warranties: Many of our furniture products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. The terms and duration of these warranties vary by product and manufacturer. Please refer to the product documentation or contact our team for specific warranty information. The Furniture Place does not provide any additional warranties beyond those offered by the manufacturer, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
7.2 Our Guarantee: We stand behind the quality of the furniture we sell. If you encounter any issues not covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, please reach out to us. While we cannot guarantee every situation, we are committed to finding a fair and satisfactory resolution.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Furniture Place shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of The Furniture Place and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of The Furniture Place.
10. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Service in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the Service or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the Service; or in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding relating to your access to, or use of, the Service or the purchase of products shall be instituted in a state or federal court in Cook County, Illinois.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
13. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
